The former Carl-Amery Hall in the Gasteig, once known for film screenings, was transformed into the “Lucky Punch Comedy Club” as part of the interim use of the Fat Cat cultural center.
Since autumn 2023, under the direction of Michael Mittermeier, this hall has offered authentic stand-up comedy with mixed shows, solo programs, and open-mic nights featuring both established artists and emerging talent.
With space for around 130 guests, the club is a central stage for Munich’s comedy scene.
Between 2015 and 2019, the festival days of KINO ASYL were held there – made possible through cooperation with the Munich City Library – before all further events were relocated to the new Gasteig HP8 venue.
Rosenheimer Str. 5, 81667 München
