I come from Sierra Leone, and I have been in Germany for about eight months. Being part of KINOASYL is a pleasure, because I am learning a lot from peoples’ cultures from different parts of the world. I am learning a lot from the processes involved in organising a film festival. I am participating in the KINOASYL project, because I want to show a film from my homeland that I watched some years ago with friends in Sierra Leone. This film is called “AMINATA” and it tells about the tradition of marrying young girls to older men in Africa.
