“This is a story about five friends. They have their own special meeting spot. When one of them volunteers to go to the front and another plans to leave the country illegally, they decide to meet there one last time. At their spot, they laugh, argue, and talk about serious matters. But one thing always stays the same: their friendship. I chose this film because it left me with a deep sadness after watching it. These friends have their traditions and meeting places, but then war comes and everything falls apart. There’s this fear of losing each other. Life suddenly feels divided into “before” and “after.” That carefree feeling from the past will never return. It happened to me too—one friend is in India, another in Canada, and no one knows when we’ll see each other again. This is also the work of someone I know, and I’m truly impressed by the film and proud to know Andrei Ostrikovsky. He did an amazing job—everything in just one day! He perfectly captured the feelings and emotions. And thank you, too, for the images of those familiar places.”

Hello, I have been Natali for 31 years and I come from Ukraine. I have been living in the wonderful city of Munich for almost three years. Since I am a single mother, my little daughter is always with me. I love writing and putting something new on paper. I am a very curious person, and everything new is like a boost for me. That’s why cinema has always been part of my life. As a child, I loved the films of Tim Burton, which is why I studied screenwriting at university. Last year, I tried to make my own short film, and of course, my daughter was involved; she was the lead actress. I addressed topics that are very important to me, namely women’s rights and war. I am a mother, and seeing what is happening in the world, I have certain worries!
