“Dancing Arabs” is the story of a young Palestinian’s liberation from all the political restrictions of his environment. He fights for love, equality and peaceful coexistence. The film shows his needs and, in a dramatic and comic way, the real drama of his reality. Between political and social considerations, love and peace win out.

It is an opportunity for me to show a different image of Palestinian youth within the traditional community. The film illustrates the emotional side of Palestinian youth. It also shows how a young man can succeed in overcoming all obstacles. I am presenting the film Dancing Arabs (Mein Herz tanzt) because it could be based on my own experiences and feels very authentic.
