This documentary tells the story of the Syrian city of Rakka on the banks of the Euphrates. As in most places in the world where people suffer from war, the people of Rakka dream of a life of peace and justice – two important things they have lacked for many years under the rule of the Ba’ath Party and the Assad regime. They fought hard to free themselves from the regime’s grip. They gained their freedom and liberated their city, but the success was short-lived. The city fell into the hands of the terrorist ISIS. Nevertheless, they continue to fight and dream of one day achieving the freedom they desire in their beloved Syria. Their fight will continue until Syria is liberated from extremism.

I’m Ameen Nasir from Syria. My hobbies are reading and watching films. I like films because I only have one life, but films give me more than one. I want to show this film because the choice in Syria should not be between Al Assad and ISIS, but for democracy and peace.
