“My Beloved Country” is a film by Eunice that attempts to carefully explain the history of her country. She tries to show the many ills that plague her country. However, the movie not only shows the problems but also offers solutions, which is what makes this movie so worth watching. Her criticism stems from her love for her country and the movie shows how she would like her country to be.

My name is Eunice Tulia Binti Mabuka. I’m from the Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa) and have been living in Munich for 9 months. Through Kino Asyl, I’ve learned a lot about other cultures from different countries. I made my own film to send a message to my country and to other countries facing similar problems. One more thing I want to say: thank you to all the organizations around the world that help and care for refugees, and thank you to Kino Asyl. Special thanks also to Tobias Rehm for helping me with my film.
