I’m Samba Ba from the southwest of Senegal and have been living in Munich since 2015. It’s important to me to show a film from Senegal so that people in Munich can better understand the mentality of my home country. There are both positive and negative sides to life in Senegal. Watching the film helps people to better put these into perspective and understand them. I’m showing an episode of the series because, first, the actors are outstanding and second, the series gives a very accurate picture of what is currently happening in Senegal.
Pod et Marichou is a very well-known series in Senegal and Gambia featuring very famous actors. The series is broadcast both on YouTube and on television and is very successful.
