It is about Syrian traditions and stories from different people before and after the war.
Why this film?
I chose “Our Memory” because the film offers a different perspective on the experience of exile. It does not focus solely on pain and loss, but also on hope, humanity, and the power of memory, which enables people to recreate themselves – despite uprooting and being in a foreign land. The film reminds us that memory is not just the past, but a shared space that connects us – regardless of where we come from. With the presentation of this film, I want to show that refugees are not only victims, but bearers of memory, identity, and culture.

My name is Loujayn, I am 22 years old and I come from Syria. I am currently in 12th grade. I believe that I came into this world to carry a message of peace and love, a message that reminds people that differences do not divide us, but make us rich and beautiful. I am committed to changing people's perspectives on diversity and difference and showing that racism has no place in a world that is open to everyone. My dream is to be part of a generation that creates understanding between cultures and plants hope in the hearts of others through art, humanity, and kind words.
