Who am I? This is a question I could never answer myself. But when I think about it, my identity has changed a lot during the transitions in my life.

My name is Ahmad Sammani, also known as Space Walker, a rapper from Aleppo, Syria. I’ve been living in Germany for almost three years and work as a media producer at the Medienwerkstatt in Ingolstadt. I’ve always wanted to show my girlfriend films from my homeland, where I grew up. Unfortunately, it’s very difficult to find these films in Germany. They often don’t have subtitles either. That’s why I think this festival is so great, and I’m happy to be part of it. Many people ask me, “What is it actually like to live in a war?” I want to show this film because it answers that question very well.
