I want to present the film “The Swimmers” because it truly touched my heart. My own experiences during my escape were very similar. A friend recommended the film to me, and when I watched it, I knew right away that it was the right choice for KINO ASYL. Even though the film was shot in Germany, I’ve seen very few films that portray the refugee journey so powerfully. It’s important to me to share this story. – Mo

Hello everyone, this is Mohammed, nickname Mo, and many also think of Moritz. I’m 25 years old and have been living in Germany for 8 years, always in Munich. I’m multicultural, I love international cuisine, music, and films. I find Munich interesting because you can experience many different cultures here. I volunteer as a board member for Heimat-Jugend and work with young people from many countries. That’s how I came across Kino Asyl. Kino Asyl gives me the opportunity to tell something about my past through a film.
