“My current documentary is 19 minutes long and portrays three people from different countries who fled to Germany. They speak about the challenges they faced on their journey and in their new lives in Germany, and they express their gratitude for the opportunities they have found here. At the same time, they share their hopes and dreams for the future. It was important to me to tell their stories in order to create a deeper understanding of their experiences and to make their voices heard.”

My name is Yahya Mashehor, I come from Yemen and have been living in Germany since 2018 with my family of seven. I work full-time at hpkj❤️ and am very happy about this experience. Besides my work, I enjoy volunteering together with my family to give back to Germany, which means a lot to us. I have volunteered with various organizations, including Helferkreis Regierung Niederbayern, Bellevue di Monaco, JUNO, Migration macht Gesellschaft, Über den Tellerrand, AWO, KinoAsyl, and Buntkicktgut. Through these activities, we aim to promote solidarity and give something back to society. My passion lies in creating short videos on platforms like Snapchat and Facebook to tell stories and give others a voice. I have been part of KinoAsyl for almost two years, where I address important social issues through films.
