A pain called migration

A pain called migration

For many years, Iran has been a refuge for refugees from Afghanistan. War, human rights violations, and the power of the Taliban make a dignified life in their own country hopeless. Many Afghans therefore flee into exile to protect their children and somehow survive. But in Iran, they face many other problems. This documentary film provides insight into the problems of Afghan refugees in Iran through interviews with those affected.

Mass

Kurator:in

My name is Mass and I come from Afghanistan. I have been in Germany for one year and four months. I studied medicine in Iran as my profession. But at the moment, I am not working because I need to learn German well first. I hope I can explain a problem from Afghanistan a little bit through Kino Asyl. I want to make new friends — both German and Afghan. Just new people 😉 Kino Asyl is a new activity for me; I have never done anything with films before.

Honey

Kurator:in

My name is Honey. I was born and raised in Iran. I studied English at a private academy. I have been in Germany for one year and four months. Now I live in Munich with my sister, and I am very happy about that! I love Germany, Germans, and the German language. I have goals that I couldn’t achieve in Iran because of politics. Now I feel good in Germany and I feel that I will reach my goals. One goal, for example, is to study anesthesiology at university. At Kino Asyl, I want to meet many new people and show a small part of the problems faced by Afghan people in Iran.
