The documentary shows the search and rescue operation for people fleeing who dare to take the route from North Africa across the Mediterranean to Europe. VICE News collaborated with Doctors Without Borders to document this rescue operation and to speak with rescued refugees. This film provides insight both into the work of the organization and into the fate of people who choose this path to escape conflict and poverty in their home countries.
