My thoughts are silent

My thoughts are silent

This film is about Ukrainians, made by Ukrainians for Ukrainians. It shows the Ukrainian mentality without fear of hiding it. The film raises the theme of parents and children. You can empathize with both sides. The mother of the main character is a typical Ukrainian woman in her 40s. She has no luck in life, loves her son, but fears change. That’s why she doesn’t want her son to go to Canada. Now to the main character: Vadim, a young man who works as a freelance sound engineer. He took out a loan for his teeth and now has to repay it. He is offered a job from Canada: to record animal sounds for a video game. Vadim has a question: What is the difference between cows and other animals in Canada and those in Ukraine? The answer is: The voices of Ukrainian animals are fearful, while the Canadian animals are full and content. Laugh and sin, as they say in Ukraine. This film shows amazing footage of nature and animals. It also deals with the destruction of rare animals and the export of Ukrainian products.

Natali

Kurator:in

Hallihallo (I like that word), I’m Natali and I’ve always dreamed of Germany — and actually, I’m here now. I come from Ukraine and came here because of the war. I’m very interested in cinema and I’m so happy to have discovered KINO ASYL. I studied dramaturgy for film and television at university in Kyiv. Here in Germany, I would like to work at Constantin Film. I want to stay here and have my child study here as well. I’m interested in many different things and want to do a lot. I’m a good swimmer, I like hairstyles and management, and I’m also a single mother of a six-year-old daughter — she’s a little actress.
