Hello, I’m Veronika, an aspiring director from Ukraine. In a few months, it will be my third year living in Germany. My family stayed in Ukraine, but for the first time I truly felt at home here when I participated in the Kino Asyl meetings. There, I feel free in my creative decisions and can openly talk about the issues that matter to me.
In this film, we show different generations of Ukrainians who have survived difficult times and fought for the independence of our country.
My daughter and I are very grateful to Germany for everything.
