I’m Samba Ba from the southwest of Senegal and have been living in Munich since 2015. It’s important to me to show a film from Senegal so that people in Munich can better understand the mentality of my home country. There are both positive and negative sides in Senegal. Watching the film helps to put these into perspective and understand them better. I’m showing an episode of the series because, first of all, the actors are fantastic and, second, the series gives a great insight into what is currently happening in Senegal.
Pod et Marichou is a very well-known series in Senegal and Gambia featuring very famous actors. The series is broadcast both on YouTube and on television and is very successful.
