The film shows how ordinary people in the war in Ukraine suddenly become fighters and have to go to the front.

Why this film?

I watched this film at the Munich Film Festival and was very fascinated by the reality it portrays. I believe it is very important for people who do not come from Ukraine to better understand the war and to gain insight into everyday life and life on the front lines. The film also shows how war changes people.

My name is Nastia. I come from Ukraine and have been living in Munich for three years. In my country, I studied cultural studies and directing, and I am currently working on my own documentary film, which I am shooting about a special place in Munich. This place is a home for me and for many others. It is a space where people like me have found belonging and acceptance. There is still too little discussion about migration and loneliness. My message to you? I want you to know that diversity can give us a lot if we are not afraid of it.
