MFUKO – The duffle bag (sold out)

MFUKO – The duffle bag (sold out)

A young deaf villager’s journey to the bustling city of Kampala turns deadly when a mixup involving identical duffel bags puts him in the midst of a violent drugtrafficking ring.
Why this film?
I chose Mfuko: The Duffle Bag because it tells a powerful story from Uganda from the perspective of John, a deaf villager who must navigate the chaos of Kampala. The film sheds light on an often overlooked global issuethe challenges faced by people with disabilities in fastpaced urban environmentswhile giving the audience an authentic glimpse into life on the streets of Kampala. Through Kino Asyl, I hope to share this story and spark conversations about inclusion, resilience, and humanity.
Important notice: All available tickets for the opening are already completely sold out!
